Travel Diary: Los Angeles in August
I spent two amazing weeks in LA with some of my best friends in the world. There was no lack of laughs, good food, adventure and sunshine. California steals a little more of my heart each time I visit and I wonder if I'll end up just staying one day. I was there for work but also took the time to really just feel what it is to #workfromanywhere.
It was such a cool feeling to be able to run a successful business from wherever I had a laptop and wi-fi. I'm still amazed at the blessings even though I've been doing this for over a year now... somehow, things seem to keep getting better and better.
We stayed in an amazing airbnb right in Venice, just a few blocks from Abbot Kinney. And the last few nights I stayed in my own airbnb near the ocean in Santa Monica. The second airbnb had a bike for me to use and it's safe to say I biked miles and miles around Santa Monica and Venice. I'm a sucker for a sunny day and biking adventures.
We ate so much healthy food - something I love about California - and even went paddleboarding with sea lions! I didn't get photos of that, so you'll just have to take my word for it ;)
Kyle couldn't come with me, sadly, because I really wanted him to experience my favorite places in LA with him. But we're so excited to say he's able to quit his job in December and 2016 will be our year of travel... starting with San Francisco and Maui in February!
Global travel has been my dream since I was a little girl... I used to collect maps and atlas books and circle all the places I dreamt of going. Throughout college I wasn't sure how I would make it happen, but the fire was still very much a'blazin'! Everytime I buy a plane ticket to a new place I've never been, energy just rushes inside of me and I get SO excited.
If there's one thing I don't ever hesitate to spend money on, it's global travel and travel experiences. There's nothing that compares.
Until my next trip -- which is going to be a GOOD one!
