Traveling with a baby

When Kyle and I first found out we were expecting, we were so overjoyed! We immediately started daydreaming about what life would be like with Dawson. We both agreed to keep living our life, but with a baby. We would do our best to continue our lifestyle, but with Dawson. You can still have a career, a life, and travel when you become a mom. Life doesn’t stop when you become a mom.

I’ve shared about this a lot, but as a mom, I am a minimalist. This makes life and traveling so much easier. Dawson doesn’t need all of the “stuff” to survive. In fact, I think he thrives on having less! Because of this, travel is SO much more manageable. In his five short months, Dawson has traveled to Miami, our cabin, 30a, and he has his first flight next month! Does it make traveling different? Absolutely. But, it doesn’t make traveling impossible!

My must-have list for traveling with baby :

  • Diapers, wipes, and bottles. Just the necessities! I’ve done a lot of research, and IMO, these are the best.

  • Outfits: we pack two a day because you never know if there will be a blowout. Lately, I have been loving Zara. Their baby clothes are so cute!

  • Toki Mat- this is my number one suggestion. I bring this everywhere we go! It gives us a place to put him and somewhere to do tummy time.

  • Books and teethers. These are easy to pack and are great entertainment for him. We love soft books because they are safe, and Dawson loves all of the sounds they make!

As you can see, I am genuinely a minimalist. It makes life much easier and allows us to travel with less hassle. D-Man is getting to experience life with us, and I just hope I can show you that you can still live your life once you start your family. So many mommy blogs are doom and gloom when it comes to traveling with a baby, but I am here to tell you that it’s not the case. To be honest, it’s even better. It’s more meaningful, and the memories mean even more.

If you’ve traveled with your babies, what’s one must-have in your bag?
